PROGRAM: Ikebana and Me
Doris Liu is a certified Sogetsu School teacher who loves the beauty
of flowers and deeply appreciates their exquisite forms,
vibrant colors and delicate fragrance.
SHOW OF THE MONTH: “A Peony for Your Thoughts”
HORTICULTURE: Peony – one cut stem in a container
DESIGN: Pot-et-fleur – design with an emphasis on a combination of two or more flowering and/or foliage plants with roots showing in soil or other medium. Other fresh and/or dried plant material and/or components may be added for embellishment; examples include fruits, vegetables, nuts, leaves and branches. Branches, with or without foliage, and/or decorative wood may be used for a dominant line in keeping with class requirements.
